Established in 1991, South Carolina Political Collections (SCPC)
collects, preserves,
and encourages research in private papers
documenting South Carolinians and their government at the national and
state levels in the post-World War II era.
Our collections include records of South Carolina’s leaders in
Congress and the
General Assembly, the state’s
political parties, and other
individuals and organizations playing
substantive roles in politics and government. Our
oral history program supplements the
collected documentary record.
