Charles W. Coolidge Award

This award honors the memory of the late Professor Charles W. Coolidge, who taught at the University of South Carolina from 1957 until his death in 1996. Coolidge was widely known to three generations of Carolina students, and these competitive scholarships commemorate his dedication to the field. 

Charles W. Coolidge Award Eligibility:

• Must be an undergraduate history major 
• Must be a rising junior or rising senior (with a minimum of 60 hours earned after the spring semester preceding the application) 
• Must have a cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or higher 

Applicants must have their completed application and supporting materials submitted via email to mcnamart@mailbox.sc.edu by  Friday, February 17th at 4pm. Application can be found here (Application for Coolidge Award) or at the History Department Main Office at Gambrell Hall rm 245.
