Equity and Advocacy: Black Womens’ Healthcare

The inequities in health care that Black women face are well known. Then it gets personal...Frances Ashe Goins, a national leader in healthcare, lived the realities of these inequities with the medical care of her daughter, Cheryl. From this narrative, Ms. Ashe Goins offers ideas for other women to advocate for their and their families' medical care.

WGST was honored to host Dr. Ashe-Goins for a lecture on equity and advocacy in Black Women's Healthcare on February 6, 2024.
