Career Center

We understand that finding an internship, co-op or job is a competitive process for our students. The CEC Career Center offers services such as resume reviews, mock interviews, job search assistance, etc. to assist our students with their career development.

Below are some of the main services we offer to students here in the College of Engineering and Computing Career Center. Let us know how we can help you best!

  • Drop-In Hours - We offer drop-in hours during the academic year where you can meet with someone in career development Monday-Friday from     1-4pm. No appointment necessary!
  • Internships, Co-ops and Externships - Let us help you navigate Handshake to find an internship, externship or co-op opportunity. These outside of the classroom learning experiences can lead to full time employment.
  • Employer Information Services - We host employers in the office to help you learn more about working with their company. This is a great way to research and network with companies that are hiring.
  • On Campus Interviews (with employers) - Companies visit the CEC Career Center to hold interviews for full and part-time positions as well as internships and co-ops.
  • Career Exploration - Let us help you figure out which jobs are best for you and your skill set.  We can also utilize Discovery Tools such as MBTI and SII to determine aspects such as your skills and values. These assessments can help you determine what type of career path is best for you!
  • Job Fairs - The USC Career Center host 2 Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Job Fairs per year. One is in the Fall, typically in September and the other during the Spring Semester, typically in January. The Fall 2017 S.E.T Fair will be September 27, 2017 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
  • Presentations and WorkshopsWe conduct classroom and student organization presentations.
