Bio

Background: I am a board-certified pediatrician who works as a pediatric hospitalist routinely caring for children hospitalized for a variety of medical conditions. I primarily work as a clinical educator for multiple levels of learners and previously worked as a clerkship director during my time at the Wake Forest School of Medicine and now serve as the inpatient rotation director for the Pediatric Residency here in Greenville. COVID-19 has delayed acclimation here.
Teaching Interest(s): Clinical teaching with residents and medical students.

Working with Multiple Levels of Learners for faculty. Presented several times on a national level.
Research Interest(s): Medical Education previously with work-placed based evaluation of medical students.

Clinical research current interest. Created the Hypothermic Young Infant Research Collaborative. Includes coordination of 9 sites across the United States (here, Wake Forest, Virginia Commonwealth, University of Alabama Birmingham, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Oregon Health Sciences, Columbia NY, John Hopkins All Childrens,and Nationwide Children's Hospital. Exploring variety of topics related to hypothermia in young infants. 6/9 sites have completed data entry.
