Leadership Team

Dr. Jeannette Andrews

Dean and Professor

Dr. Jeannette Andrews is charged with overseeing all aspects of the academic mission and executing the College’s strategic initiatives in nursing education, research, practice and health policy. She is responsible for providing sound  management of resources: fiscal, facilities and human.  She ensures adherence to federal and state and university regulations, maintains accreditation standards and establishes strategic partnerships.  She leads in college fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors, partners and alumni.

Dr. Kristen Starnes-Ott

Associate Dean of Academics

Dr. Kristen Starnes-Ott is the chief academic officer, providing leadership in the strategic development and implementation of curricula that meet the needs of a diverse undergraduate and graduate student population. She oversees the Office of Student Affairs and Clinical Simulation Lab.

Dr. Robin Dail

Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs

Dr. Robin Dail provides leadership for development and career enhancement, workload, scholarship and special projects to enhance the organizational culture and productivity for our faculty.

Dr. Bernardine Pinto

Associate Dean of Research

Dr. Bernardine Pinto oversees all operations and activities of the Office of Research to foster the research mission and growth of the college's research portfolio by facilitating grant submissions to local, regional and national funding agencies.    

Dr. Stephanie Burgess

Associate Dean of Practice and Health Policy

Dr. Stephanie Burgess  is responsible for implementing a high quality faculty practice support infrastructure in the college, consistent with the college’s strategic plan, state and national guidelines. In her leadership role, Dr. Burgess serves as the lead contact on health care and hospital system/agency policy issues related to advanced practice agency integration, scope of practice and advanced practice work force.

Jessica McCormick

Executive Assistant to the Dean

 Jessica McCormick provides advanced administrative support to the dean.  She serves as the dean’s office liaison to other staff members regarding correspondence, scheduling, general office procedures and projects. She also assists with various internal committees.

Rod West

Assistant Dean of Operations

Rod West is responsible for all aspects of the college’s business operations. This includes strategic visioning and planning, problem-solving, development/refinement of policies and procedures and implementation of effective operational strategies.  He monitors quality assurance and enhances communication strategies for operations.

Dr. Rhonda Hughes

Director of the Center for Nursing Leadership

Dr. Ronda Hughes oversees the four major activities of the center: state-wide action coalition/One Voice One Plan, Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership Program, SC Office of Healthcare Workforce Research for Nursing and continuing education provider. She also serves as the director of and faculty in the DNP nurse executive program.

Monica Cromer

Senior Director of Development

Monica Cromer oversees the college's development team charged with raising money, specifically the dean's initiatives while collaborating with central development and all colleges/units at the university.

Dr. Tisha Felder

Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion 

Dr. Tisha Felder's initiative is to enhance diverse representation and cultivate a climate of inclusive excellence among the College’s student, faculty and staff populations. She represents the college on the University’s Council of Academic Diversity Officers and works with other colleges/units to support university equity, inclusion and diversity efforts.
