Usenet is a non-centralized Internet service that offers literally thousands of "newsgroups" delineated and arranged by subject matter. Below are many of the Usenet newsgroups that cover issues pertaining to social work and the related fields. Within these newsgroups you can browse through contributions from people all over the world and, after some familiarity and practice with this, contribute to the discussions yourself if you so choose. 

Keep in mind that while reading newsgroup postings is fairly safe and easy, contributing to the newsgroups below should be performed responsibly since otherwise you may turn out looking rather silly to experienced Usenet users. Make sure you know what you are doing and that you really have something meaningful to say before you post. Just a friendly warning. Also, remember that an NNTP server must be configured in your WWW browser to read newsgroups. Some of the newsgroups listed will not be available to you due to your server.
