IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR COMMENCEMENT 2016

Please be advised that heavy traffic is anticipated for commencement weekend and parking near the Colonial Life Arena and the Koger Center will be very limited. To avoid unnecessary parking delays, university Parking Services strongly encourages you to share the information below with anyone planning to attend the commencement ceremonies. May 5:
  9:30 a.m. - Darla Moore School of Business
    Park and ride shuttle service is provided to the Horseshoe for those attending the Darla Moore School of Business hooding ceremony. Shuttles from the Discovery garage (see attached map) will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until one hour after the ceremony has ended.  Shuttles will pick up/drop off at Discovery garage and in front of the Horseshoe. (The rain location is First Baptist Church, 1306 Hampton St. If the location is changed because of weather you will be notified.)
May 6:
  9 a.m. - School of Law
    The University of South Carolina is offering parking to those attending the Horseshoe commencement ceremony for the School of Law. Parking will be available in the metered parking on levels 1A, 1B and 2A of the Pendleton Street garage.  Meters will be free of charge.
  12:30 p.m. - School of Medicine
    For those attending the School of Medicine commencement ceremony at the Koger Center, free parking will be available in the Discovery garage.
  3 p.m. - General Commencement Ceremony
    Park and ride shuttle service is available to those attending the general commencement ceremony at the Colonial Life Arena. Shuttles from Pendleton Street, Senate Street and Horizon garages will start at 1 p.m. and will run until one hour after the ceremony has ended. Parking in the Pendleton Street garage is limited to metered spaces on levels 1A, 1B and 2A. Meters will be free of charge. Shuttles also will pick up/drop off in front of the Horseshoe on Sumter Street and the Colonial Life Arena. Allow 15 minutes for shuttle transports to and from the arena.
May 7:
  9:30 a.m. - General Commencement Ceremony
    Park and ride shuttle service is available to those attending the general commencement ceremony at the Colonial Life Arena. Shuttles from Pendleton Street, Senate Street and Horizon garages will start at 7:30 a.m. and will run until 1 hour after the ceremony has ended. Parking in the Pendleton Street garage is limited to metered spaces on levels 1A, 1B and 2A. Meters will be free of charge.  Shuttles will also pick up/drop off in front of the Horseshoe on Sumter Street and the Colonial Life Arena. Allow 15 minutes for shuttle transports to and from the arena.
  1 p.m. - Doctoral Hooding
    Park and ride shuttle service to the Koger Center is available to those attending the doctoral hooding ceremony. Shuttles from Pendleton Street, Senate Street and Horizon garages will start at 11 a.m. and will run until one hour after the ceremony has ended. Parking in the Pendleton Street garage is limited to metered spaces on levels 1A, 1B and 2A. Meters will be free of charge. Shuttles will also pick up/drop off in front of the Horseshoe on Sumter Street and the Arnold School of Public Health building on College Street. Allow 15 minutes for shuttle transports to and from the arena.
  3 p.m. - General Commencement Ceremony
