2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium

We are excited to announce our official our full slate of speakers and panelists for the 2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium! Dr. Leonardo Bonilha, USC Brain Health Director, will keynote this year’s symposium. The 1 ½ day meeting will also feature four panels showcasing the latest research, technologies, and community engagement strategies being implemented to address outcomes and disparities for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). This year’s panelists represent the University of South Carolina, Medical University of South Carolina, Clemson University, and the South Carolina Department of Public Health. View the full symposium schedule.

The 2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium will also feature a student-focused poster session. Fifty students representing all three major research institutions in South Carolina will present their work at the conclusion of the first day of the symposium. This will be a great opportunity for attendees to engage with students and each other and learn about ongoing aging and ADRD research in our state.

Last, symposium attendees who elect to stay overnight can secure a room and a preferred rate with the Hilton Columbia Center. Please click here to make your reservations. The Hilton Columbia Center is offering this special rate until Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
