2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium

Registration is now open for the 2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium! This annual collaboration is between South Carolina’s three major research universities – University of South Carolina, Medical University of South Carolina, and Clemson University. The 1 ½ day event will be held from October 9-10, 2025, at the Pastides Alumni Center in Columbia, SC. This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Leo Bonilha, Dorothea Krebs Professor of Neurology and Director of the USC Brain Health Network. The deadline to register is Monday, August 25, 2025. The 2025 Statewide Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Symposium will also feature a student-focused poster session. Students at all levels (undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral fellows) are encouraged to submit a relevant abstract to present at the conclusion of the first day of the symposium, October 9, 2025. Please see the attached Call for Abstracts for additional details and requirements. The deadline to submit an abstract is Monday, July 14, 2025. Students may submit their abstracts via our online submission portal.

Last, symposium attendees who elect to stay overnight can secure a room and a preferred rate with the Hilton Columbia Center. Please click here to make your reservations. The Hilton Columbia Center is offering this special rate until Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
