A home movie in MIRC’s collection of films by amateur regional filmmaker Scott Nixon, The Augustas, was selected for inclusion in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in December 2012. Film and Media Studies faculty Dr. Heidi Rae Cooley writes about Nixon’s home movies in her forthcoming book, Finding Augusta: Habit and Governance in the Digital Present (Dartmouth College Press Interfaces: Studies in Visual Culture series).
