Julie Boyken is a graduate of Murray State University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication in 2016. She is also a graduate of Missouri State University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2018.

Julie has worked at the University of South Carolina since June 2021 and joined the Capstone Scholars office in December, 2023.

Julie serves as the point person for Capstone Scholars professional development programming as well as our distinction program, Capstone Fellows. She is excited to offer a wide-variety of programming from etiquette dinners to CliftonStrengths workshops to utilizing LinkedIn. It’s important during your time at college that you not only learn the knowledge and skills for the workforce, but also how to properly use them beyond your time here at USC.

Outside of USC, Julie enjoys spending time with friends, playing kickball, traveling, and spoiling her dog, Gabby.
