Course Description

The course of history hinges upon great and powerful individuals—presidents, monarchs, dictators—whose actions can impact the world. But some influential actors are nasty and ruthless—and microscopic.

In this course, professor Robert F. Startz, MD of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine will uncover how diseases have impacted great leaders like Herod the Great, Henry VIII, JFK, FDR, Woodrow Wilson, L. Frank Baum, and George III.
