Description

Are you interested in developing and teaching a distributed learning course? Have you heard about the many new initiatives at USC and are wondering what a distributed learning course entails? Design for distributed learning involves developing materials that measure the course’s learning objectives, promote active learning, and are appropriate to the nature and objectives of the course and the distributed learning environment. Recipients of the 2012 Office of the Provost Distributed Learning grants will discuss the key components of a distributed learning course and the importance of these to achieving a successful experience for both the instructor and the students. Recipients will share how they created a course structure & materials, and will also provide a forum to explore the challenges the recipients faced and the solutions they discovered in the course development process. If you are a faculty member interested in distributed learning strategies and outcomes, or if you are considering applying for a future distributed learning grant, plan to attend this event.
