Description
Integrative learning involves a blending of within-the classroom activities with intentionally selected beyond-the-classroom experiences. It occurs when students reflect on the connections between their experiences and apply their knowledge in new contexts. This workshop focuses on the concept of intentionality. Meaningful learning doesn’t happen by chance – it must be purposeful. As educators, how do we communicate the importance of the material covered in class and do so in a way that deepens student understanding and fosters connections both within and outside the classroom? Attendees to this session will learn specific strategies and techniques for creating class activities and experiences that foster connections within and across disciplines.
