SLIS 202 - Introduction to Information Literacy and Technology

Course Description

An introduction to the basic information technologies used in all types of information organizations and the essential concepts and skills needed for information literacy. Note: Carolina Core: INF.


Online Session Information

There will be a live online session via Adobe Connect on Tuesday, March 20, 10:05-11:20. Students may participate live online or view the session at a later time; students are responsible for all material covered. Instructor will post Adobe Connect URL in Blackboard prior to the class meeting. High-speed internet is required.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
