ECON 224 - Introduction to Economics

Class Session: Tuesday, January 02, 2018 - Saturday, January 20, 2018

Credit: 3 semester hours of undergraduate credit

Note: OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS: This online course starts during winter break and runs through the 1st week of the Spring semester; the dates are January 2nd - 20th, 2018.


Course Description

The study of supply and demand, markets, household and firm decision-making, gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, and government policies. Open to all students except business administration and economics majors.


Course Delivery Type

A Web course is taught using one or more web delivery platforms such as Blackboard, Streaming Video, Adobe Connect etc. Students must have access to a high-speed Internet connection. More information will be provided by the instructor in the course syllabus.

(100% asynchronous - if course has any online or face-to-face meetings, live attendance will not be required. For any such sessions, there will be alternative ways to view or obtain the material covered).
