Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation

GREENVILLE, S.C. (May 1, 2017)—We are pleased to announce the winners of this year’s student and faculty Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation: fourth-year medical student Megan Epperson Bradham and clinical faculty member John Emerson, M.D. The awards were presented at Friday evening's Senior Banquet.

Winners are chosen using criteria such as compassion, respect, professionalism and service. According to the Foundation, “Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards recognize graduating students and faculty members who demonstrate both clinical excellence and outstanding compassion in the delivery of care and who show respect for patients, their families, and healthcare colleagues.”

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation was established in 1988 to emphasize humanism in medicine and compassionate care. More Information
