Solar trailer spurs sustainability efforts at UofSC

The Office of Sustainability along with mechanical engineering students worked together to create a sustainable solution for providing power to events at UofSC. The solar trailer is a converted, movable trailer that is able to store energy from the sun and power electrical equipment.

Proving Ground winners represent UofSC at SEC Student Pitch Competition, UofSC to host in 2021

UofSC will host in October 2021 the SEC Student Pitch Competition, which is an entrepreneurial challenge for SEC universities’ students. UofSC students Jonah Rotholz and Nick Jeffcoat competed against 14 other collegiate teams, some of which included Ph.D. students, in the 2020 SEC Student Pitch Competition hosted virtually by the University of Georgia in the fall.

CIC duo cashes in at business startup competition

Amidst the glow of cameras, teleprompters and various screens, Nick Jeffcoat and Jonah Rotholz pitched their startup business, parAnimo, to a panel of experts and spectators at The Proving Ground, the Darla Moore School of Business’ entrepreneurial ventures pitch competition.
