Faculty & Staff Training

As part of our commitment to creating an inclusive campus and workplace, we have established an instructive course to help faculty and staff members build skills that will enable you to recognize and deal with discrimination and harassment.

Preventing Harassment and Discrimination is an online course required for all faculty and staff members. It covers the university policies, laws and procedures that address discrimination and harassment.

All new faculty and staff members will receive notice to complete the course within 30 days of their date of hire. Returning faculty and staff members will receive an annual notice each fall to participate in a shorter, recertification version of the course.

Course Duration

You are not expected to complete the course in one sitting. You can save your work throughout the course and return to finish at another time.

Why It's Required

The university is committed to providing a safe, healthy and inspiring environment for all our students and faculty and staff members — one that is free of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
