Renovation Details
The Taylor House, built in 1908, will soon house the Joseph F. Rice School of Law admissions office along with office space for some students and event space for the school. A new elevator and handicap ramp is being added, while a new terra cotta roof has been installed.
Earlier work installed a fire sprinkler and alarm system as well as renovations to the heat and air conditioning and electrical systems.
The Boyd Foundation has also donated furniture that was original to the house, and those pieces will return to their original home when construction is completed.
