Cooking Demonstrations

Maxcy brings in guest chefs and food preparation experts to prepare traditional and international meals, give cooking classes, and host tastings for a wide range of food from around the world.

Demonstration Kitchen

Maxcy is home to a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen. The kitchen is a great spot for our monthly cooking classes and presentations from visiting chefs and other international foodies.

Cooking Demonstrations

A favorite at Maxcy! Our residents watch and learn different cooking techniques from around the world. Previous culinary adventures have included traditional Cherokee dishes, Japanese knife techniques, and how to make Italian mozzarella. 

Tastings

Exploring other cultures isn't limited to meals, and we take full advantage of that at Maxcy. Coffee tastings from the local coffee shop Drip, cheese tastings from Whole Foods and chocolate tastings from Sweet Cocoa not only teach our palates about flavors from other cultures, but serve as an entry point to talking about global commerce.
