The Offices of the Vice President for Research and Corporate and Foundation Relations are pleased to coordinate an internal call for proposals to the Johnson & Johnson WiSTEM2D Scholars Award Program. The Johnson & Johnson Scholars Award Program aims to fuel the development of female STEM2D leaders by awarding and sponsoring women at critical points in their research careers in each of six STEM2D disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Manufacturing, and Design.

USC may only submit one application per discipline to this competition. Applicants may be women who are tenure-track Assistant Professors or Research/Clinical faculty without the ability to obtain tenure. Tenured faculty are not eligible.
For the internal deadline, please submit the following:

• A 1,000 word summary detailing your proposed area of research. You may include up to one additional page of images. References do not count in the page limit.
• An NIH or NSF-formatted biosketch.

For questions, please contact Beth Herron in the Research and Grant Development Office at 777-2885 or bherron@mailbox.sc.edu.

Please submit your application as a single PDF to Beth Herron at bherron@mailbox.sc.edu by 5 pm on Thursday, August 30. The program’s deadline is rolling through September 25. Applicants to the internal competition will be notified in early September if they were selected as the representative for their discipline.
