NSF: Cultural Transformation in the Geoscience Community (CTGC) NSF 23-539

This solicitation... invites creative proposals to foster an innovative and inclusive geoscience community that reflects the diversity of the United States and is ready and well prepared to understand how the Earth system can continue to sustain society and propose solutions to the complex challenges society is facing due to climate and environmental change.

The solicitation offers two funding tracks, for (1) Planning Grants and for (2) Implementation Projects (which REQUIRE an LOI).

USC may serve as sole submitting organization or as lead organization on only one submission per competition, regardless of track, but may serve as the non-lead organization of a collaborative project more than once per competition.

Your application submission MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send a two page abstract via email to Richard White (whitejrw@mailbox.sc.edu) by February 13, 2023.. In addition to the 2-page abstract, you should also submit a biosketch for the PI. If applying for an implementation project, please include a copy of your required LOI (see next paragraph).

NSF indicates that a Letter of Intent is REQUIRED by February 1, 2023, for implementation projects only, and a full proposal for both planning grants or implementation projects is due by April 03, 2023.
