AEC Scholarship

The AEC Scholarship is awarded annually to the child or grandchild of a current dues-paying member of AEC. Applicants must be accepted or continuing students (undergraduate or graduate level) at USC Columbia or any of the regional or branch campuses. The scholarship is in the amount of $1000 and is for one year ($500 each for the Fall and Spring semesters). Students may apply each application year they are enrolled - previous applicants are permitted to reapply.

The 2022 deadline has passed. The 2022-23 scholarship has been awarded to the following:
• Payton Matthew Vereen, freshman in Civil Engineering, son of Gail Vereen, College of Nursing
• Christopher Kyle Miller, sophomore History major, Education minor, son of Stephanie Miller, University Housing


Scholarship Qualifications

To apply, a student must be an undergraduate or graduate student who is also:

  • the child or grandchild of a current AEC member
  • already accepted to UofSC or a continuing student
  • attending USC Columbia or any of the regional or branch campuses.

Award

The $1,000 scholarship is for one academic year, with $500 being awarded in the fall and spring semester.

How to Apply

Students may apply each year they are enrolled and previous applicants are permitted to reapply. The scholarship application will be emailed to the AEC Listserv. Please share with anyone you know that is eligible to apply.
