Biography:
Christina Xan, MA, is an ABD PhD Candidate studying Southern Literature and Women's and Gender Studies with additional interests in media, particularly video game, studies. She presently teaches in both the English and Media Arts Departments and assists in the WGST Program. She is also passionate about writing center pedagogy, presently assistant managing the center at Allen University. Outside of academia, Xan is a writer and creator who has published poetry, fiction, plays, essays, and photography in various journals, newspapers, and magazines as well as having premiered a film and a web-series. She is on the Board of Directors at The Jasper Project, a local nonprofit seeking to promote artists and art education in the Midlands. She lives, works, and breathes for her children (read: cats), Fitz and Pepper.
