Mathematics and Statistics

Even though I've strayed from a career in mathematics, some of my most influential advisors in college were math professors, Dr. Eva Czabarka, Dr. Paula Vasquez and Dr. Matthew Miller. They each provided perspectives in and out of their studies, helped me with research jobs and recommendation letters, and told me that my self worth wasn't indicated by grades or performances in classes. They helped me through my struggles in finding my passions, and now I have a career ahead of me because of that. 

Future plans: Jackson will work as a data scientist at Stratus Solutions in College Park, Maryland, and is considering pursuing a master's degree in statistics, data science or similar field.
