The generosity of the McNair family turns out to be full of clichés. The McNair Scholarship opens doors. For me, those doors were to the trading room at the Moore School. Surrounded by neon stock tickers and Bloomberg terminals, I invested long hours learning advanced financial valuation and modeling analytics. The McNair Scholarship also means the world. Before college, I had never been overseas. Now, I have been to all seven continents. Through my international business program, I have studied in Germany, Singapore and Brazil, and visited other amazing places along the way. Thanks to the rigor of the Finance Scholars program and global exposure of IBEA, I’ve made lifelong friends and secured a job that I could have never imagined before coming to UofSC. 

Future plans: Stephanie will move to Charleston to work as a financial analyst at Greystar Real Estate Partners.
