The Safe Zone Ally Program is a visible network of allies who are committed to creating a community of respect and dignity for LGBT individuals. The Safe Zone Ally Program makes it possible to easily identify individuals who are committed to creating an environment in which all people are free to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.
The faculty and staff Safe Zone Ally workshop is designed to facilitate and encourage discussion on the topics of:
homophobia and heterosexism, most common and important LGBT vocabulary,and issues of gender and sexuality that affect students on college campuses. This training will incorporate specific discussions about creating a safe and inclusive environment for the University of South Carolina students we serve. All materials will be provided. This is a free workshop for USC Columbia faculty and staff.
