Support from day one.

The University Advising Center offers undergraduate students services from online videos and skills development to one-on-one advising support and academic coaching. Our professional advisors utilize standardized training and technology that maximize the advising experience. With almost 500 advisors serving more than 11,000 students per year, our focus is helping every student further their academic achievement.

Along with feeling more confident about their writing, students who utilize peer writing support often report additional gains. English 101 students who visit the writing lab once or more outperform peers who do not.

Student Success Center

Online and through nine campus locations, undergraduate students can rely on a safety net for academics and living. The Student Success Center’s labs and services aid with day-to-day needs such as building study skills and financial literacy as well as delivering peace of mind that can bolster student learning, retention and degree completion. With more than 250 peer leaders and 50,000 visits, the Student Success Center is a key to success for every student.

 

Second Year Strong

Year two at South Carolina opens another vault of specialized resources. Kick off the year with a full month of inspiration during SophoMORE September plus our year-long Life Hacks series and weekend retreat just for sophomores. Finally, join in on the annual Halfway There Celebration held every spring.
