Description: What do your department's monthly financial statements mean? Do you understand how and why your accounts are charged for various expenses? These questions and more will be answered as the various accounting tools available within the USC system are explained in this workshop. An informative and interactive format will be used to teach you how to: read and understand the Monthly Management Reports and the General Ledger Monthly Summary, gain up-to-date information about expenses, revenue, and account balances, prepare or request journal entries and Intra-Institutional Transfers (IDTs), use the University class codes appropriately, and monitor your accounts on a daily basis rather than waiting for month-end reports. This workship combines classroom instruction with individual computer access and practice.
