The Office of the Provost has established several competitive grant programs to support faculty development through scholarship, research and creative activities.
The purpose of the programs is to provide funding to assist faculty and research staff in all areas of scholarly endeavor for work that enhances the competitiveness of applications for external funding, supports professional development, and/or supports progress toward tenure and promotion.
2012 Awardees Announced
The 2012 awardees for the Humanities, Clinical Incentive, Creative and Performing Arts, and Social Sciences Internal Grant programs have been announced. Complete lists of all awardees are available at the links below.
- 2012 Humanities Grant Awardees
19 of 39 proposals were funded from faculty members on the Columbia and Salkehatchie campuses.
Total funded awards: $205,414.
- 2012 Clinical Incentive Grant Awardees
10 of 12 proposals were funded from faculty members on the Columbia campus.
Total funded awards: $135,532.
- 2012 Creative and Performing Arts Grant Awardees
11 of 22 proposals were funded from faculty members on the Columbia, Lancaster, and Sumter campuses.
Total funded awards: $150,064.
- 2012 Social Sciences Grant Awardees
11 of 55 proposals were funded from faculty members on the Columbia and Lancaster campuses.
Total funded awards: $202,601.
