Assistive Technology Reutilization Success Stories

Assistive Technology reuse programs in South Carolina are working together to make a real difference in our state! We're getting equipment out of garages and attics, and into the hands of people who need it for independence and empowerment. People and orgizations are pitching in, to help with transportation and other aspects of the program. The SC Assistive Technology Exchange has become a great method to keep people connected throughout the entire state. Below are some of the success stories we've seen through the years.

Helping Patty's mother

"Thanks, everyone, so much for all the help with mama and her wheelchair. She is thrilled to have it. She went around showing it to all her neighbors in her building and she is looking forward to have a little bit of freedom since she can no longer drive. We really appreciate all of the effort that went into getting this for her."
