A Virtual Town Hall will be held for Faculty and Staff via WebEx from 6 to 7 p.m.
on May 28 (Thursday). The session will provide additional details about the school's
plans to implement the
university's Return to Work Policies.
Virtual commencement scheduled for Friday, May 8
The UofSC School of Medicine Columbia will hold a virtual commencement through WebEx
at noon at Friday, May 8. An invitation with directions to access the ceremony was
emailed to the Class of 2020 and all faculty and staff on Wed., April 23. The commencement
bulletin will be available in PDF format by May 8.
The UofSC School of Medicine Columbia will hold a Virtual Town Hall for faculty and
staff on Wednesday, April 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., to share updates on our response
and future planning related to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Virtual Town Hall will be
E.J. Mayeaux, M.D., chair of the academic Department of Family and Preventive Medicine
and the medical group Department of Family Medicine, will be departing the UofSC School
of Medicine Columbia to assume leadership roles at Louisiana State University Health
William D. Anderson, M.D. M.H.C.M., senior associate dean for clinical affairs at
the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia and chief medical officer
for the USC School of Medicine Educational Trust, has announced that he will be leaving
the university at the end of March to take a senior vice president role leading a
multispecialty medical group in Virginia.
