Minghi Lectures at King's College, London University

Julian Minghi, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, recently gave four two-hour lectures in the required first year course in the MA program in Geopolitics, Territory and Security at King's College, London University.

While lecturing in late October and early November, 2016, Dr. Minghi covered the evolution of concepts concerning boundaries and frontiers in geography, the concepts of borders and borderlands, contemporary issues in European borderlands and in North American borderlands, and also presented ideas about the classification of borderscapes. He also participated in a 90-minute open class discussion on studying boundaries in political geography over the past 50 years with David Newman of Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.

Minghi has been guest lecturing in this course, first at The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and more recently at King's, each Fall for the past two decades.
