This year several university faculty and staff members will take the stage at the annual TEDxColumbiaSC event Jan. 19. With topics spanning from preserving our rivers to the changing labor force, the members of this year’s lineup will challenge the audience to reconsider how they interact with others and our world.

This year’s speakers include:

  • Bobby Donaldson,  professor of history in the College of Arts and Sciences

  • Ann Ramsdell, associate professor of cell biology and anatomy in the School of Medicine

  • Jessica Richardson, assistant professor of communication sciences and disorders in the Arnold School of Public Health

  • Anna Scheyett, dean of the College of Social Work

TED is a non-profit devoted to ideas worth spreading. At its two annual conferences, it convenes the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers and challenges them to give the talks of their lives.

Tickets are available for the Jan. 19 TEDxColumbiaSC event.
