Fashion Week to hit the runway

Fashion Board works to put on various events as well as educate the community about fashion. Each year the organization hosts UofSC Fashion Week in the spring. This year's UofSC Fashion Week is March 23-27.
Join in on some of the events around campus:
Monday, March 23
Kick Off Event
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Davis Field
Held in the center of campus in between Russell House and the Thomas Cooper Library,
Fashion Board members will be passing out information and promotional items for Fashion
Week 2015. Drop by anytime to learn about each Fashion Week event and grab a sweet
treat on your way to class! This event is free and open to the USC Community.
Monday, March 23
Doggy Fashion Show
5:30 p.m.
Davis Field
Watch the lovable pups available for adoption through the Columbia Humane Society
strut their stuff down the grassy runway. Attendees are encouraged to bring along
their furry friend and their will be a raffle with all proceeds going to the Humane
Sociery. This event is free and open to the USC Community.
Tuesday, March 24
Symposium
7 p.m.
Arnold School of Public Health, Room 114
Come hear from Melissa Karl, the current Associate Accessories Editor at Lucky Magazine!
Melissa is a 2012 graduate of USC’s Department of Retailing and a former Fashion Board
President. Networking will begin at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the
USC Community.
Wednesday, March 25
Student Designer Showcase
7 p.m.
701 Whaley
The 4th annual Student Designer Showcase will feature talented USC student designers
debuting their exciting and unique collections. Student vendor tables will be featured
in our style lounge which opens at 6:00 p.m. Tickets required for entrance: $5 pre-sale
and $7 at the door.
Judges-Melissa Karl, 2014 Student Designer Showcase winner Molly McNutt, and Chris
Harris from Image Ink. There will be a special performance by the Carolina Gentleman
Thursday, March 26
Finale Fashion Show
7 p.m.
701 Whaley
Fashion Board will host the 7th annual Finale Fashion Show as an end to Fashion Week
2015. Looks from Columbia’s top retailers will be shown including: Britton’s of Columbia,
Bohemian, Copper Penny, Entourage, Ivy & Leo, Just the Thing, LaRoque, Pink Sorbet,
and Steel Garden, Vestique Doors to the style lounge open at 6:00p.m, featuring a
silent auction and local vendor tables. Scholarships will be also awarded to outstanding
Fashion Board students. Tickets are required for entrance: $7 pre-sale and $10
at the door.
