The third annual USC Out of the Darkness Campus Walk for Suicide Prevention aims to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention on campus. This year's walk will be on Sunday, March 29.

The proceeds go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to help fund prevention and awareness programs.  Some of the funds from the campus walk will also go to support the online mental health screening available to all UofSC students.

Registration will be on the 2nd floor of the Russell House in front of the theater at noon.  The walk will begin at 1 p.m.

There are several options to participate:

  • Create a team and have others in your department or organization walk with you.

  • Walk by joining the Healthy Carolina team.

  • Join as a virtual walker if you cannot make the actual event by showing support and raising funds.

  • Donate to the event by clicking on the “roster” and donating to any of the team members.
