Pillars for Carolina, the university's extended orientation program and a program of Student Government, has begun its recruitment efforts for summer 2016.

The program is looking to acquire new Extended Orientation Mentors (XMs) of all grade levels to add to the team.

A Pillars XM is an extended orientation mentor who is passionate about the Gamecock experience and working with incoming students. XMs facilitate activities throughout the summer program and lead small group discussions. These student leaders will be looked to for guidance and support by our first-year student participants. XMs will only be expected to work one week during the summer.
