Pharmacy Hours During COVID-19 Emergency
Your on-campus Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for in-person service to fill your prescriptions and for your over-the-counter medications needs. Practice social distancing while in the pharmacy by staying six feet apart and wearing a face covering. For refills, use the PocketRx for the iPhone or Android devices for fast, convenient service. If you’re not in Columbia but within the state of South Carolina, we can mail your refills to your home. Call us at 803-777-4890 for details.
Prescriptions
We'll fill and refill prescriptions from your doctor, even if they're outside the university or out-of-state. You can also transfer prescriptions between us and another pharmacy, in-state or out-of-state.
Payment & Insurance
We take insurance, cash, checks, most debit and credit cards and CarolinaCards. Payment is due at prescription pickup.
Over-the-Counter Medicine
You can purchase over-the-counter medication without a prescription, including:
- Pain Relievers
- Cough Medicines
- Nasal Decongestants
- Stomach Medications
- Hygiene Products
- Plan B Emergency Contraceptive
- Pseudoephedrine (must have ID and sign for it)
Sharps Containers
If you live on campus, you can get official sharps containers for your discarded diabetes supplies. We recommend using official sharps containers to keep your residence hall visitors and staff safe and informed about hazardous materials.
To Get Your Containers
Visit the lab on the first floor of the Center for Health and Well-Being. We'll give
you one to use and one for backup. Return the container to us when it's full and we'll
give you a new one.
