Conceived by Provost Joan Gabel, Galen Health Fellows is a new and novel community
at the University of South Carolina. We offer one of the most comprehensive programs for
health professions studies in the United States. The Galen Health Fellows Living &
Learning Community fosters a trans-disciplinary residential environment for undergraduate
students pursuing a career in the healthcare profession. Students will develop relationships
with peers, faculty, staff and local healthcare professionals through service-learning,
mentorship and beyond-the-classroom experiences.
