The Office of Undergraduate Research will host a series of professional development workshops for undergraduate student researchers this summer. We invite all interested undergaduate student researchers from all disciplines to participate in these workshops.
Workshop details are listed below, and in the 2023 Research: Next Steps flyer (PDF). There is no registration required to attend these sessions, and all undergraduate researchers from all disciplines, including USC students and those visiting from other institutions, are welcome to participate.

and personal statements in a format tailored to undergraduate research students.

Case studies will be presented to provide a framework for discussion of common ethical
questions in research.
Preparing for Graduate School
Wednesday, June 21
Presented by a panel of graduate students and Graduate School faculty and staff
In this workshop, a panel of faulty and graduate students will discuss the graduate
school application process with emphasis on what programs to consider and what to
look for in an advisor. This workshop will also explain options for funding your graduate
school education including assistantships and fellowships.
Reflecting on Your Research Experience

Presented by Dr. Charles Pierce, Faculty Executive Director, Center for Experiential
and Integrative Learning
This interactive workshop will introduce integrative learning and engage students
in reflective thinking and writing exercises about their research experiences.
