Pursuit of happiness leads to a $2.1 million grant award for USC

A pair of philosophy researchers from the University of South Carolina and the University of Chicago has been awarded a $2.1 million grant from the John Templeton Foundation to study the connections between virtue, happiness and the meaning of human life and society.

School of Medicine researchers publish findings that marijuana THC can delay transplant rejection

New research published in the Journal of Leukocyte Biology show that mice receiving THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, had a delay in the rejection of an incompatible organ.

Asif Khan Receives 2015 Governor's Award for Excellence in Scientific Research

Dr. Khan is known worldwide as a pioneer in the area of LED lights. His work contributed to the development of an entirely new multi-billion dollar industry of LED lighting.
