Requirements For Transfers

A transfer student is an applicant who has graduated from high school, has attended another regionally accredited post-secondary institution, and has attempted one or more college courses. If you would like more information about the University of South Carolina, provide us with your information so we can add you to our mailing list!

*Note: High-school graduates who take summer school courses in between graduation and the fall semester that immediately follows are not considered transfer students.

Required Admissions Materials

  • Completed application 
  • Nonrefundable application fee ($65 for US Citizens; $100 for international students)
  • Upload unofficial transcripts from each institution attended at the time of application submission. Prior to enrollment, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will notify applicants when official transcripts are due.
  • Send official high school transcript if less than 30 semester hours (45 quarter hours) of college-level work have been attempted in a regionally accredited college or university. Transcripts must be sent directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
