New Faces at Salkehatchie

USC Salkehatchie welcomes 4 new faculty and staff members to our campus.  

Dr. Patricia Fears is the new director of the USC Salkehatchie/USC Aiken Education partnership.  She will be directing the joint elementary education degree the two campuses share and advising and teaching in the program.    Dr. Fears comes to us from a career of public school teaching and administration as a principal.   Her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Education are from South Carolina State University and she also has a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Governors State University and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.  Dr. Fears is returning to her home state of South Carolina after a career in the state of Illinois.

Dr. Justin Mogilski has joined the USC Salkehatchie campus as a psychology professor for the fall 2018 semester.   With a bachelor’s degree from Albright College, a master’s from Bucknell University and a Ph.D from Oakland University, Dr. Mogilski will teach both introductory and upper level psychology courses on both campuses.

Eric Simpkin has joined the USC Salkehatchie campus as Director of Student Development for both the Allendale and Walterboro Campuses. In addition to working with student activities and student government, Eric will be designing an overall student development plan and objectives for the campus to further aid in student success.  He comes to Salkehatchie  with a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Leadership with a Concentration in Student Affairs in Higher Education from University of Colorado.

Dr. Marquita Watkins will be teaching chemistry at the USC Salkehatchie campuses In both Allendale and Walterboro beginning fall 2018.  Dr. Watkins has a bachelor's degree  in chemistry from Tougaloo College and a Ph.D in Computational Chemistry from Jackson State University.
