Religious Studies B.A. Degree With Honors

Students pursuing a B.A. degree in Religious Studies may work to get their degree "with distinction" upon graduation.

BA With Distinction

The honor "with distinction" is awarded to Religious Studies majors who complete both the general and the intensive courses of study and who graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.75 in their Religious Studies major courses and 3.5 overall.

General Major
  • 1 prerequisite course
  • 2 introductory level courses (200 level)
  • 3 intermediate level courses (300 level)
  • 2 advanced courses (400 level)
  • 1 capstone course
Intensive Major
  • all general major requirements as indicated above
  • RELG 498 Senior Project or Thesis
  • 1 additional RELG course
  • all courses for intensive major credit must have a grade of B or higher
