The Taiwan Studies Program, with the longstanding support of the Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office (TECO), brings together internationally renowned scholars for its annual Taiwan Conference, the most enduring and substantial event of its kind in the U.S. In addition, the program sponsors colloquia, visiting scholars and artists, cultural events and student research.
Our program encourages undergraduate student exchanges, which gives our students a greater understanding of the geography, culture, politics and economics of Taiwan and Asia. We also stay in touch with our Taiwanese alumni, many of whom have gone on to high-ranking positions in government and business in Taiwan.
