Center for Asian Studies
This center serves as a forum to provide focus for future cooperation and exchanges between South Carolina, the United States, and Asian nations.
European Studies
In addition to our minor, we sponsor lectures, conferences, student and faculty research, and other activities related to Europe and the European Union of interest to both the USC community and the general public.
Islamic World Studies
Our minor program sponsors a series of lectures and colloquia that each year brings to campus scholars in a variety of disciplines related to Islam and Muslim peoples, as well as other cultural events that are open to the University community and the public alike.
Latin American Studies
Our program offers courses in Latin American history, politics, anthropology, geography, and literature. We also sponsor public lectures, workshops, and symposia, and supports faculty and student research on topics related to Latin America and Latino communities in South Carolina.
Russian and Euroasian Studies
In conjunction with The Walker Institute of International and Area Studies, the program sponsors a series of lectures by visiting speakers, research presentations by USC faculty and graduate students, and an undergraduate minor.
