Opportunity Scholars Program (OSP)

What Student Support Services Can Do for You

Student Support Services (SSS) AKA Opportunity Scholars Program, is one of the TRIO programs funded by the United States Department of Education. The SSS program primarily serves first generation college students and students who are income eligible.

Comprehensive advising services and workshops are available to help students select classes, apply for financial aid, provide career guidance and address other student concerns. To qualify, a student must be a first-generation college student (neither parent has a four-year degree), be low-income eligible and/or have a documented mental, physical or learning disability.

Helps students complete FAFSA, acquire scholarships and grants. 

Helps with class scheduling, study skills and time management.

Monitored by our specialists and academic progress is charted.

Career plan assessments and goal setting.

Assists student transfer to a four-year institution.

Attend on and off campus cultural events

 

  1. Complete the application on paper or online .
  2. Attach signed copy of prior year 1040 tax return.
  3. If applicable, attach signed medical documentation from physician confirming disability.
