Developed by director of bands emeritus James Copenhaver in 1976, the Band Clinic provides high-quality musical instruction for advanced high school students in wind and percussion. If you're a qualified band student, you can sharpen your musical skills with some of the nation's top clinicians.
Interested?
To participate, you must first be nominated by your high school band director. Most of the nominated students are all-state or all-region band members, perform with youth symphonies and study privately.
If you're selected by USC, you'll live on campus, learn from our internationally known faculty, and take master classes from guest artists.
You'll be exposed to new commissioned works from the world's foremost band composers, attend USC Band concerts, and have the experience of rigorous auditions.
First day auditions seat you in one of four ensembles, and top performers are placed in the clinic's honor band, performing under the batons of some of the leading conductors in the nation.
