McKissick hosts department of art faculty exhibition
The University of South Carolina’s McKissick Museum, in collaboration with the department of art, is hosting the biennial Department of Art Faculty Show exhibition.
The exhibition runs through Jan. 9 in the South Gallery on the second floor of the museum. A public reception will be held at the museum from 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17. The event is free.
The show presents a sampling of work created by art faculty since the last show in 2007. Visitors will see a wide range of media, including painting, photography, woodworking, digital arts, printmaking, drawing, book arts and film presentations.
The show is an important collaboration between McKissick Museum and the department of art in promoting the artistic heritage of the University of South Carolina and its long-standing art programs.
